Sometimes they are called Death doulas or Soul midwives.

An End Of Life Doula does not provide medical care, administer medications or provide personal care unless they are a trained professional such as a Licensed Nurse, C.N.A or Home Health Aide and only within their scope of practice.

Death doulas do not facilitate death.
